London!

Platform 9 ¾
Wednesday night was the beginning of our 2 weeks of spring break and what better way to start it off then by going to London for the weekend? Michelle and I arrived in London early Thursday morning, dropped off our things at St. Christopher's hostel and went straight to exploring the beautiful city. The first place we went to was Chipotle. I’ve been craving American fast food, that wasn’t McDonald’s or Burger King and London is the only place, so far that has Chipotle. After lunch, we headed to King’s Cross Station to see Platform 9 ¾, where a scene of Harry Potter was based off of. After King’s Cross, we had dinner then headed back to the hostel to rest up for the next day.

On Friday, we woke up at 7 a.m., to have breakfast at 8 and be ready by 9 to be able to chill until our walking tour at 10:15. During the 2 & ½ hour tour we got to see a lot of popular places in London, such as: the Convent Garden, Buckingham Palace, St. James Palace, St. Jame’s Park, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, of course the Parliament/Big Ben, the London Eye and more. I was mind blowed and couldn’t believe I was actually walking the streets of London. After the tour, we took a walk to Hyde Park then grabbed lunch to head back to the hostel to get ready for the pub crawl and to enjoy the nightlife.

Michelle and I woke up early Sunday morning to enjoy our last day in London. After breakfast, we headed to Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. Being inside the Tower gave chills just thinking about how much history it holds. It’s crazy to think of all the things that happened in there. After the Tower, we visited St. Paul’s Cathedral then grabbed lunch. At. 3, it was time head back to the airport. We departed London at around 6 p.m. and arrived back in Barcelona at about 9 p.m. Although, London was very expensive, it was a great start to my spring break. Next up, is Granada, Malaga and Valencia. 80 degree weather for the next week? Don’t mind if I do!
