I meeting point in Plaça Catalunya |
At 10 a.m. our group met at the I (tourist information center) in Plaça Catalunya for our panoramic tour. At first, I was a little upset because I brought my camera for no reason. The bus we got on wasn’t even a tour bus, so I had to take pictures through the windows, something, me as a photographer hate doing. Although, it’s not what I wanted, I did take some pictures and really enjoyed the ride around the city. We literally went all over Barcelona, visiting all its beautiful neighborhoods, including: Eixample, Barceloneta, Barrio Gótico, Vila Olímpia, Sants Montjuïc and others. Passing through Eixample, I got to see the Sagrada Familia

and the Casa Batlló again. In Barceloneta, I got to see the “fake” beach, I say fake because I was told that the sand was imported when Barcelona hosted the Olympics in 1992. Passing by Barrio Gótico, I saw the cathedral again.

Font Montjuïc |
In Sants Montjuïc, I got to see where they host the Olympics, Plaça d'Espanya ( a plaza) and Font Montjuïc (a fountain that lights ups at night). The tour lasted about two hours and I really enjoyed. My favorite part had to be when we were in Sants Montjuïc and we got to see an overview of Barcelona from the top of the mountain. The view was amazing.
