My name is Maria Gonzalez, I'm 20 years old and I'm from Providence, RI. I attend Rhode Island College as a junior and my major is Spanish. In the future, I plan on becoming a Spanish/English translator. I am currently studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain. This is something that happens maybe once in a life time and I'm so grateful for having the opportunity to do so. Here, I will be studying at the University of Barcelona for the spring semester of 2014. Although, I will be focusing a lot on school, a very important interest of mine, is photography. I plan on exploring the city and take thousands of pictures, hoping to improve on my photography skills. In addition to exploring Barcelona, I plan on traveling throughout Spain and also to it's neighboring countries, such as Italy, France, Portugal along with others. I made this blog to easily share this amazing experience with my family, friends and of course, anybody else who is interested in sharing this four month journey with me. We'll meet new people, see famous attractions, learn about the Spanish culture and more. I will try my best to post as much as I can. I apologize in advance if I take days to post, I might be caught up in school, with school work, traveling or maybe getting lost in the city. I'm glad you decided to accompany me on what might be the best experience of my life. I'm very excited and I hope you are too.
