Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys |
For one of my classes, my professor took us to San
ts Montjuïc to tour Barcelona’s Olympic Stadium and its museum. Although it was empty, it was so cool just being in there. Not only did big sport or musical events take place in the stadium, but the 1992 Olympic Games were actually held in that building as well. I learned that the stadium wasn’t built just for the Olympics, it was actually already built but just renovated for them. The stadium was only used for the opening ceremony, the athletics section and the closing ceremony. Also, I forgot his name, but Gaudí’s rival was the one who built the stadium.

Museu Olimpic |
After getting a tour of the stadium, we went to the Olympic museum, where we watched a short film about the 1992 Olympics. We also got to see items that belonged or were used by certain athletes during the Olympics, including Michael Jordan’s shoes! Overall, class was great today, I really enjoyed it.
