Costa Brava!

Hanging houses on Oñar River.
Our last trip with API was today and it was to Costa Brava. Costa Brava is a region northeastern of Catalunya, stretching northeast of Barcelona to the French border. We left Barcelona around 9:30 a.m. and arrived at 11. Once there, we had a guided tour through the small but beautiful city of Girona. Girona is a city that has a rich, detailed and dramatic history, it's first inhabitants were the Iberians. What I learned during the tour, was sort of like a review of what I learned in one of my history classes here. After walking through Girona, we headed to Tossa de Mar, a medieval walled town. Both cities were pretty, but the weather was ugly. It was chilly and cloudy, so it took a lot away from their beauty. Although, the weather wasn't in our favor, I still had a good time and enjoyed the trip.
